Sarah is an Outreach Specialist at Partners for Youth with Disabilities. Before starting her career at PYD, Sarah worked as a mental health associate and patient experience liaison in the field of both adolescent and adult psychiatry. She has also interned for the Massachusetts Association for the Blind, as well as the Lesley Institute for Trauma Sensitivity. For all of these roles, she was responsible for combining a positive client experience with community outreach and digital communication skills. She has enjoyed working hands-on with the populations she serves, as well as working behind the scenes (and the screen) to create strong communications materials for these organizations.
Sarah is extremely passionate about writing, expressive arts therapies, and using creativity as a means for bridging community activism. She holds a B.A. from Lasell University and a M.Ed. from Lesley University, where she majored in Arts, Community, and Education. Outside of her professional interests, Sarah enjoys partaking in all forms of artmaking, including creative writing, painting, and knitting. When she isn’t working or creating art, you can most likely find her curled up with a cup of coffee and a good book in hand.
