Transitions to Work Program For Young Adults with Disabilities
Now accepting applications for a training session in retail and customer service at the CVS Caremark Regional Learning Center in Boston. Students will gain hands-on work experience and cash register training that is relevant to real-life jobs. The training will take place at the JVS Boston office and classes are run by JVS instructors. Eligible participants must be: between the ages of 18 and 35, able to show proof of a documented disability, and motivated to find a job. Seaport Holiday Tree Lighting
Please join us in celebrating the Holidays in Boston’s Seaport District! Get in the spirit with music and entertainment while enjoying hot chocolate, cider, and cookies. Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll
For more than 10 years, the Beacon Hill Business Association (BHBA) has sponsored the Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll, a highly anticipated festive kick off to the holiday shopping season. On Thursday December 10th, starting at 6PM we will close off Charles Street to traffic, allowing for holiday shoppers to stroll through all of it’s shops and offices enjoying refreshments, live music and horse drawn buggy rides. For children, the festivities will begin during the earlier portion of the evening at the Hill House fire house with free photos with Santa followed by a Christmas Tree lighting. It’s the most wonderful time of the year in our neighborhood and we welcome you to ring in the holidays with our festive, fun and diverse group of Beacon Hill businesses.

Second Fridays at the MIT Museum: Math of Science, Art, Industry & Culture
During this special free math fest, explore a “pop-up” math art exhibit, take part in discussions about math in society, and try your hand at math activities and challenges. Funded in part by the Council for the Arts at MIT. Hosted in collaboration with the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute and The Bridges Organization.

Autism-Friendly Urban Nutcracker Performance
The Urban Nutcracker continues to expand and represent inclusiveness in a multi-cultural Boston community by presenting a Sensory-Friendly performance. With the direction of retired international ballet star Tony Williams, this performance blends classical moves with emerging diverse dance forms, while ensuring it is sensory friendly with house lights at half capacity, sounds lower in volume/intensity, volunteers to provide support, and a quiet area. And the audience will be encouraged to dance, sing and shout. Also, this year’s Urban Nutcracker features never before seen sets and costumes in celebration of its 15th Anniversary.
