On October 4th, PYD will hold its Second Annual Golf Classic at the beautiful Tedesco Country Club in Marblehead, MA. Golfers, sponsors, and staff will gather for a day on the greens to bring attention to PYD’s mission and to focus on driving disability inclusion in the workplace.
Event Co-Chairs Andy and Rose Bentley, Marblehead residents, started the PYD Golf Classic in 2019. Andy is a PYD board member and Rose’s sister, Drew Anne, was born with a chromosomal abnormality and disability. They know firsthand how challenging navigating ableist barriers and feeling excluded can be for disabled individuals and families, and they wanted to do what they could to make it easier for them by fundraising for PYD.
Golfers will play on one of the top private courses in Massachusetts, enjoy lunch and an awards dinner, and have the opportunity to participate in many contests including a hole in one for a brand new car, and a chance at $1 Million. A silent auction filled with items generously donated by local businesses will be available for golfers and PYD supporters to bid on via an online portal.
The PYD Golf Classic is a community event built to support PYD’s mission. While some of our longstanding supporters like EY, Metron, Inc, and Tonneson have already signed on, we are still searching for more sponsors for this event. Sponsorships begin at just $200 and include a variety of exposure points to not only our golfers, but to PYD’s national audience.
