On February 27th, four YEP classes headed to the Google offices in Cambridge, MA for an exciting Job Shadow trip.
The Job Shadow trip began with a tour of the Google offices, which included beautiful work spaces like libraries with spacious arm chairs and hammock seats. Students saw the many cafeterias and kitchenettes throughout the google offices, as well as a variety of office spaces, including treadmill desks! Google staff talked to students about the Google work environment and culture and how the space was an important aspect of that, and encouraged creativity and productivity.
After the tour students heard from a panel of Google employees who discussed their roles at Google, as well as their educational and career path that led them to their current position. Students asked engaging questions throughout the panel and were able to learn more about Google and various career options available to them.
