Online Mentoring

PYD offers an online group mentoring program for young adults with disabilities (ages 18-26) who are interested in career readiness support. This program is open for any young adult with a disability across the United States.

Program participants have access to a group of professional mentors, who can offer input and advice on your path from college to employment. Mentors and youth chat and connect regularly online through private messaging and group discussion areas.

Participants also have access to monthly webinars on career readiness topics, like creating a resume, navigating job interviews, handling disability disclosure, and other topics. Through these sessions, young adults can learn more best practices for seeking employment, plus hear from mentors about their lived experiences and perspectives.

Online Mentoring Program Requirements:

  • Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 26 years old and have a disability
  • Participants must commit to logging in twice per week for 8-12 months to spend time connecting with mentors
