This month we provide you with resources for after-school classes, fitness trainings, and helpful forms of support to be sure you kick off the school year right!

Disability Scoop: Jobs
For anyone interested in a career in the disability services field, Disability Scoop Jobs is a great resource for job hunting. Search 50+ openings in Massachusetts in special ed, disability services, therapy, and much more!

Compelling Fitness
Compelling Fitness provides children and adults with special needs the opportunity to engage in physical fitness programming, nutrition, social interaction, daily life skills, sensory integration, and PLAY through group or individual trainings. Boston SpedPac
Boston SpedPac is an organization of parents and guardians of children with special needs working together to have a collective voice on special education issues. They host general meetings to discuss and address important issues and their website provides useful resources such as basic rights videos.

Free Food Allergy Awareness Day at the Franklin Park Zoo, September 28th
On Saturday, September 28th from 10am-6pm the Boston Children’s Hospital is celebrating Free Food Allergy Awareness Day at the Franklin Park Zoo. Rainbow Support Group
The Cambridge Family and Children’s Service has begun a Rainbow Support Group. The organization provides opportunities for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and intersex individuals, age 22 and over, with developmental challenges to find their voice, be heard, and supported in a safe environment. Eliot School After-School & Weekend Classes
The Eliot School in Jamaica Plains offers after-school and weekend workshops in woodworking, sewing and fiber arts, painting, drawing, photography, and other crafts. The classes start late September and early October. Now is the perfect time to sign up for classes for the new school year!
