PYD’s Mentor Appreciation Night 2018 recap

Our organization came to life in 1985, and ever since, Partners for Youth with Disabilities has helped young people with disabilities reach their full potential and lead their lives with dignity, pride, and purpose.

For over three decades, our PYD staff has worked hard to match our youth with great mentors. Our dedicated mentors are a huge part of what keeps our organization going and every year, we take the time to appreciate their hard work. This is exactly what we did at Mentor Appreciation Night on Friday, November 2nd.

We celebrated our mentors and mentees with a fun night full of food, conversation, dancing, and celebration. We honored our matches with awards to celebrate their remarkable relationships and hard work together.

This year we honored Olivia, Austin, Kyle, TK, and Jeff with awards they are more than deserving of. Their dedication to Partners for Youth with Disabilities is evident through the lasting relationships they have developed.

In addition, we recognized our matches that particularly stood out  this year. We celebrated pairings that have been together for one year, ten years, and everything in between.

Thank you to our mentors, mentees, staff, and corporate partners that allow our organization to continue to ensure young people with disabilities can lead lives filled with dignity, pride, and purpose.
