Access to Theatre

ATT at the Mass Hospital School flyerProgram Details:

On Sundays during May – June 2013 you will come together to explore the world of Improvisational Acting and Movement in large and small inclusive groups. This means that there are no scripts or set characters that you will be expected to play. Through theater and movement games and other activities you will explore how our bodies move and the components that form characters, scenes, and stories. Elements that will be explored include how movement is part of our everyday lives, learning the language of movement, and your personal style. We will emphasize the movement elements that are the building blocks on which many types of dance are choreographed.

The workshop will also focus on teaching skills that are useful in developing creativity and in other life settings. These skills include: different ways to communicate , achieving your objective (getting what you want), collaboration, and more.

When: From 3:00pm to 6:00pm on May 5, May 12, May 19, June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23, and June 30.

To sign up, contact Deep Chinappa at 617-556–4075 (x20) or via email at dchinappa@pyd.org.
