The Second Annual Summer Series fundraising events, orchestrated by PYD’s Managing Director Dean Bragonier, launched in July for with another wildly successful Summer House concert in Nantucket featuring Sally Taylor and Seth & Josh Larson of Something Underground.  On a misty July 13th evening, Sally and the brothers had all of The Summer House’s Beachside Bistro on their feet and singing along to the artists’ original songs and classics by Tom Petty and Carly Simon.

As our musical summer continued, PYD was fortunate enough to be chosen as the charitable partner for the 2013 Naukabout Music Festival in Falmouth. The Festival included a special performance by Sally Taylor and PYD participant Aline Haunton. Aline and the other PYD Ambassadors introduced themselves and Partners for Youth with Disabilities to the Naukabout community through a social media campaign in promotion with the Festival. To read more highlights from PYD’s experience at the Naukabout Music Festival, please click here.

The Summer Series wrapped up with another favorite, back by popular demand: a concert by Sally and Ben Taylor at the Gannon & Benjamin Marine Railway in Vineyard Haven.

The brother and sister duo took to the stage to “sing amongst sawdust and sawhorses” again, and the crowd enjoyed the music and banter while sipping Naukabout beer and munching on heavenly lobster rolls from The Art Cliff Diner.  The night ended with a dance party led by Carly Simon… We couldn’t have asked for a better finale.

We’d like to thank everyone who helped make this summer such a special and productive one, we hope you’ll join us for many more PYD events.
