Jordan “Jordy” Lome joined PYD in September 2017 as an AmeriCorps member and currently works as the Match Support Manager. Jordy has an extensive background in informal education and integrated arts pedagogy with a focus on youth disabilities.  

Jordy holds an M.Ed. in Community Arts Education from Lesley University and a BA from Bard College at Simon’s Rock. They also have a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Wheelock College and also completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Fellowship program at Boston Children’s Hospital. Jordy served with AmeriCorps for two years starting at Providence Children’s Museum in Rhode Island where they helped create early childhood-based programs both in and out of the museum. There, they helped establish a Universal Design for Learning training for future AmeriCorps members and helped develop a social story booklet for youth with autism visiting the museum. Prior, they worked as a social marketing intern for VSA Massachusetts and at Actors’ Shakespeare Project. 

Jordy is passionate about disability representation and authenticity in media, autism acceptance, and youth development work. They are a self-advocate and passionate about their work with PYD!
