Parents Group Program (PG)

PYD has formed two parents groups that meet on a regular basis in the Boston and Springfield areas. The goal of the parents groups is to provide support and information to parents as they meet the challenge of helping their children transition to adulthood. The parents groups host discussions, guest speakers, and training sessions on topics such as educational rights, transportation options, assistive technology, recreation opportunities, estate planning, and preparing for jobs and college. Social events are planned by the parents as well.
