The vision of Partners for Youth with Disabilities' National Center for Mentoring Youth with Disabilities is that youth with disabilities across the nation are able to achieve full access, belonging, and meaningful participation in mentoring and youth programs that ultimately contribute to a fulfilling, independent adult life.
Because PYD has created and implemented a variety of successful mentoring and other programs for youth with disabilities since 1985, National Center’s trainings are based on over 25 years of best practices. We are constantly adapting our trainings to reflect the valuable experiences and knowledge we gain through our programs.
Trainings, technical assistance, and support have been provided to youth and mentoring organizations nationwide including:
- Boys and Girls Clubs
- The YMCA
- State Mentoring Partnerships
- State Vocational Rehabilitation Programs
- Disabled Sports USA
- City Year
- The Girl Scouts
