Stage 2: Hanging Out and Having Fun

A PYD mentee smiling One of the main reasons you may want a mentor is to have someone to go places and do things with. This stage is very important, since it will make you closer to your mentor. It is also a really FUN stage. As a matter of fact, it shouldn't even be a stage, but something you do with your mentor throughout your whole relationship.

Need ideas for hanging out? Here are a few:
  • Invite your mentor over for a movie and popcorn, or go to the movies
  • Go to a Red Sox or Patriots game, or just catch one on T.V.
  • Chow down on some pizza at the local pizza joint
  • See the latest exhibit at an art museum
  • Take a shopping trip
Use your imagination and have fun picking things to do. The possibilities are endless....
