DIsability Inclusion Trainings

National Center Director presenting to a groupSince being founded in 2005, PYD has been providing training and resources to other youth-serving organizations to allow them to better serve youth with disabilities. Our vision is that youth with disabilities across the nation should be able to fully access, belong to, and participate in mentoring and youth programs that ultimately contribute to a fulfilling, independent adult life.

Our trainings are customized based on individual needs and interests, but generally focus on (1) disability inclusion strategies for mentoring or other nonprofit programs, or (2) building or enhancing a mentoring program that successfully serves youth with disabilities. We also offers assessment and support to improve program policies, materials, and spaces.

Training and support is offered either on a fee-for-service basis (variable and available on request), or based on appropriate grant funding sought out collectively. Occasionally an agency will qualify to receive support under one of our current projects. Drop us a line and we can see what we can do for you!
