Nancy J. Bazanchuk Inducted into Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame

The Susan M. Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame was established by the National Disability Mentoring Coalition (NDMC) to honor those individuals who are making a significant difference in the lives of youth and adults with disabilities through mentoring and to raise awareness about the importance of mentoring for individuals with disabilities.

We are proud to induct Nancy J. Bazanchuk into the Susan Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame.  Nancy serves as the Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) Facilitator & Coordinator for Partners for Youth with Disabilities. Nancy is a longtime PYD mentor and has worked with PYD as a consultant and collaborator for over 15 years as the MHC Springfield Youth Group Facilitator. She served as CHD’s Disability Resources Program Director for over 18 years, and is well known in the Western Mass region and throughout the state for her many accomplishments in the disability community.

Nancy has been a part of the Youth Leadership Forum from the very beginning, participating in the inaugural Massachusetts YLF back in the early 2000s. Nancy won the Brianna Fund Community Service Angel Award last year, and was honored as part of the 17th Annual  “Martin Luther King Jr. Benefit Gospel Concert: A Tribute to Gospel” at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Springfield in 2015. She is a lifelong believer in the power of sports to empower youth with disabilities.
